Warranty Terms & Conditions

Nu-way, a trading name of Enertech Limited, provides warranty against manufacturing defects.

 

The standard warranty provided on products and services is as follows:

12 months parts and labour warranty from date of commissioning or 18 months from date of purchase whichever is sooner.

 

Exclusions: service consumables are not covered by the warranty and this includes (where applicable):

  1. Ignition/ionisation Electrodes
  2. Thermocouples
  3. Burner Gaskets Lubricants / Oils and inhibitors
  4. Faults requiring combustion adjustment or burner cleaning associated with the normal operation.

 

The warranty is valid subject to the installation being in full compliance with all appropriate current regulations and standards

and our particular installation commissioning and maintenance instructions which are provided with the product.

Evidence of commissioning must be retained and provided to Nu-way in the event of a warranty claim during this warranty period.

 

The warranty is subject to safe access and egress to the product being made by others.

 

Nu-way will provide warranty based on the above terms provided the failure has not been caused as a result of the following:-

  1. Incorrect commissioning / operation of the equipment by a third party
  2. No evidence to demonstrate that the equipment has been serviced by a competent person/s on an annual basis e.g. log book
  3. Failure caused by the incorrect installation / location of the equipment
  4. Failure occurring from system defects
  5. Attempted repairs by anyone other than our Engineers or our approved Agents during the warranty period
  6. Where any defects / sub-standard items highlighted in the commissioning report have not been rectified to the correct standard(s)
  7. Any failure or problems resulting from inadequate supply or poor quality of services such as electricity, gas or water
  8. Failure due to the incorrect design / installation of the flue / ventilation system
  9. Incorrect handling of equipment
  10. The equipment has been sized incorrectly for the system’s minimum and maximum operating condition
  11. Corrosion due to adverse environmental conditions
  12. Frost damage
  13. Damage to the product caused by theft, attempted theft, vandalism or other factors such as fire or flood.
  14. Failure of or incorrectly set external controls
  15. Where installation, commissioning or maintenance has been undertaken by a non-competent third party.
  16. The warranty for gas booster and bearing housings is offered on the proviso that should a claim be made for noise,this should be accompanied by pictures showing that the installation conforms to the manufacturers instruction and the guidance note IGEM/UP2, in particular showing the pipework layout

 

All repair work during the warranty period must be carried out by Nu-way or our nominated approved Agents.

Cost for third party repairs will not be accepted without prior authorisation of Nu-way

In the event of equipment failure, Nu-way must be given the opportunity to inspect the equipment in situ prior to any remedial action taking place.

Any repair carried out under the terms of this warranty does not extend the warranty beyond its agreed period.

This warranty is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.
